Hi everyone!
I'm Niki, a 20something ex City girl who moved to the suburbs on a budget. My blog takes inspiration from my grandparents who lived on little but still had a very full life. I'm currently at uni, studying business, as well as working part time wherever I can; a far cry from 5 years ago when I worked 70 hours a week in a well paid but crazy job in the city, not having time for anything or anyone.
Learning to make my money go further is definitely hard work, but it pays off. I have no student debt, earn enough to pay the bills and have some extras here and there, and my first feature will be on my first holiday on a budget; from shopping for a capsule wardrobe to avoid excess baggage charges, to my first self catering holiday, beauty on a budget, and how to get the best from what you have.
I'm due to go away in May 2014, so will be updating regularly with UK based lists and prices (I've spent less than £150 on a whole new capsule wardrobe!) as all I seem to find are US based ones which are no good for us Brits.
